1st Club Member Meeting - Xeriscaping Your Garden

Join us for an informative evening about xeriscaping your garden. Presented by Stephanie from Harding Nursery.

The Pikes Peak Water Garden Society meetings are held every 2nd Thursday from April to September.  Most meetings start at 7:00 PM and wrap up around 9:00 to 9:30 PM.

This year our meetings will once again be held at the Mountain View Church of Christ located at 1080 East La Salle Street.  This is at the west end of Constitution Avenue on the southwest corner.

Enter through the east door on the north side of the church.

Meeting Minutes

Pikes Peak Water Garden Society

October Club Member Meeting Minutes from October 9th, 2014 at 6:30PM

There were ~25 members present. Possibly due to heavy rain.

The meeting was held at Mountain View Church of Christ in Colorado Springs CO.

The October Meeting is designated as the end of year “Picnic”, so the buffet line was opened for the BBQ dinner.

After most everyone had finished eating a short business meeting was opened by President Dick Throckmorton for the purpose of election of Board Members, thanking everyone for an enjoyable year, and thanking all the volunteers who without their help our club couldn’t exist. Bob Oatman individually called out each volunteers name for applause. Tom Taylor passed out paper slips asking everyone to make suggestions for meeting topics or any other ideas they might have to make the club better.

The expiring Board Members were Dick Throckmorton, Cheri Richardson, and Jean Susemihl.

Dick and Cheri had previously been nominated and had accepted the nomination. Dick Throckmorton opened the floor for the purpose of nominations of the three vacant board positions. Each Board Member elected is for a term of two years. Bob Oatman nominated Tom Barger who accepted the nomination.

The present nominations from the floor were:
Dick Throckmorton
Cheri Richardson
Tom Barger

President Dick Throckmorton then called for a vote by a raise of hands of those members present. The three Members nominated were elected by unanimous vote.

The Board Members for 2015 are as follows;
Continuing Members; Bob Oatman and Tom Taylor
Elected Members; Dick Throckmorton, Cheri Richardson, and Tom Barger

Officer Positions will be determined at the next board meeting.

Dick Throckmorton moved that the business meeting be adjourned. This was seconded and the meeting was adjourned by unanimous voice vote. Now back for dessert!
