Annual Member Picnic

will be our annual member picnic and our last meeting of the year. Be sure to RSVP to let us know how much BBQ will be needed.

The Pikes Peak Water Garden Society meetings are held every 2nd Thursday from April to September.  Most meetings start at 7:00 PM and wrap up around 9:00 to 9:30 PM.

This year our meetings will once again be held at the Mountain View Church of Christ located at 1080 East La Salle Street.  This is at the west end of Constitution Avenue on the southwest corner.

Enter through the east door on the north side of the church.

Club Minutes from October 10, 2013
Pikes Peak Water Garden Society
October Club Member Meeting

There were 42 members present.

The October meeting was held at Mountain View Church of Christ in Colorado Springs CO. The October Meeting is designated as the end of year “Picnic”.

A short business meeting was opened by President Dick Throckmorton at 6:45 PM for the purpose of election of Board Members to fill the three Board positions that will be open at the end of October 2013. Expiring Board positions were filled by Tom Taylor - Vice President, and Bob Oatman - Secretary.

Dick Throckmorton then opened the floor for the purpose of nominations of the three vacant Board Positions. Each Board Member elected is for a term of two years.

The present nominations from the floor were:
Tom Taylor
Bob Oatman
Mark Wittrup
Mark Wittrup had called Dick and withdrew his nomination. No new nominations were presented.

President Dick Throckmorton then called for a vote by a raise of hands of those members present. The two members nominated were elected by unanimous vote.

The Board Members are as follows;
Continuing Members; Dick Throckmorton, Jean Susemihl and Cheri Richardson
Re-elected Members; Bob Oatman and Tom Taylor

Officer Positions will be determined at the next board meeting.

Dick Throckmorton moved that the business meeting be adjourned. This was seconded and the meeting was adjourned by unanimous voice vote. Dick adjourned the meeting and invited everyone to the buffet line for the Bar B Q dinner.
