End of the year picnic

will be the end of the year member picnic. Bring a dessert to share with everyone. The PPWGS board will provide the main dish, side dishes and utensils.

The Pikes Peak Water Garden Society meetings are held every 2nd Thursday from April to September.  Most meetings start at 7:00 PM and wrap up around 9:00 to 9:30 PM.

This year our meetings will once again be held at the Mountain View Church of Christ located at 1080 East La Salle Street.  This is at the west end of Constitution Avenue on the southwest corner.

Enter through the east door on the north side of the church.

Pikes Peak Water Garden Society
October Club Member Meeting

The October meeting was held at Mountain View Church of Christ in Colorado Springs CO. The October Meeting is designated as the end of year “Picnic”. A short business meeting was opened by President Ron Bissonnette at 6:05 PM for purpose of election of New Board Members to fill the three Board Positions that expire at the end of October 2012. Expiring Board positions were filled by Ron Bissonnette, President, Robert Lammon, Vice President, and Dick Throckmorton, Treasure.

Ron Bissonette then opened the floor for purpose of nominations for the three vacant Board Positions. Each Board Member elected is for a term of two years.
Nominations from the floor were accepted as follows:

Dick Throckmorton
Jeanne Susemihl
Cheri Richardson

Robert Lammon moved that nominations be closed, with a second to the motion by Tom Taylor.
Robert Lammon then called for a motion that the three members be accepted as nominated. Tom Taylor seconded. President Bissonnette then called for a vote by a raise of hands of those members present. The three Members nominated were elected by unanimous vote.

The new board members plus the existing Board Members are as follows;
Continuing Members; Bob Oatman and Tom Taylor
Re-elected Member; Dick Throckmorton
New members; Jean Susemihl and Cheri Richardson

It is noted that the next Board Meeting will be October 30 at Mimi’s Restaurant. Officer Positions will be determined by the new board at that time.

Dick Throckmorton moved that the business meeting be adjourned. Seconded by Dave Kratzer. Meeting was adjourned by unanimous voice vote. Ron Bissonnette adjourned the meeting by directing the Recognized Volunteers to start the buffet line for the Bar B Q dinner.
