The
Pikes Peak Water Garden Society meetings are held every 2nd Thursday from April
to September. Most meetings start at 7:00 PM and wrap up around 9:00 to
9:30 PM.
This
year our meetings will once again be held at the Mountain View Church of Christ
located at 1080 East La Salle Street. This is at the west end of
Constitution Avenue on the southwest corner.

Pikes Peak Water Garden Society
July Club Member Meeting
12 July, 2012
The “Pizza Party” began at 6:30PM. We had purchased 15 Pepperoni, 10 Three Meat, and 2 Cheese pizza’s. 9 Pepperoni and 1 Cheese pizza were left. These were given out as door prizes at the end of the meeting.
July’s club meeting was opened by President Ron Bissonnette at 7:15PM at Mt. View Church of Christ.
There were 48 members present at this month’s meeting.
Steve Carson and Bob Oatman discussed the pond tour. We presently have 5 ponds on the tour and still need more. Steve and Bob are going to co-coordinate the pond tour. Steve will perform the pre-tour tasks thru the 19th, as he will be out of town after the 20th. Bob will then coordinate beginning the 20th, as he will be out of town until the 19th.
Ron introduced Bob Pollack who was a long time member and our past President. Ron also offered Bob Pollack a lifetime membership to the PPWGS.
The Koi auction began with Bob Pollack as the auctioneer, Ron and Robert as the presenters (utilizing a video camera and projector), Tom Taylor as the delivery person, and Dick Throckmorton as the Treasurer. 16 Koi were auctioned off.
At the conclusion of the Koi auction Bob Pollack discussed the importance of, and the procedure too, quarantine new fish before introducing them to a pond.
The door prizes were then drawn. Jock Schwank won the Koi door prize.
The meeting adjourned at 8:20PM.
