August Club Membership Meeting
11 Aug, 2011

August club meeting was opened by President Steve Carson at 7:10PM at Mt. View Church of Christ. There were 40 members that attended this month’s meeting.

Dick Throckmorton gave the financial report to members. After the paying for expenses and the income from the auction the club actually made $121.00. The club had $6,151.72 in available funds after last month’s Koi auction.

Steve thanked all the members who participated in the pond tour this year. He presented slides showing how the pond tour impacted visiting our web site. Internet traffic on the site increased a significant amount. He also mentioned that more people pulled the tour map packet from the web site. He also stated at we only handed out about 50 maps at Wasson High School this year.

I discussed the benefits and cost savings in having you own pond vac. We covered the operation of a dual chamber vac.

Steve continued the meeting with a discussion on filter media types
At the end of this year’s club meeting the club will have three vacancies open for board members. Steve opened the floor for nominations. None were made. We will ask for nominations during September’s meeting and then have elections.
