PIKES PEAK WATER GARDEN SOCIETY Monthly Meeting
April 14, 2011, Mt. View Church of Christ.

April’s PPWGS meeting was called to order at 7:30PM at Mt. View Church of Christ. There were 61 members that attended this month’s meeting.

After calling the meeting to order, Sever Carson gave the financial report; the PPWGS has a balance of $4024.24 after $225.00 expended on the newsletter. A complete report is posted on the PPWGS website.

Steve then turned the meeting over to Rob. Rob introduced Suzy Oligmueller, owner of Water’s Edge Aquatic Plants and Service, who gave a wonderful and informative presentation on dividing lilies, floating sub-islands, and general plant care. She also talked about pond scapeing and aggressive and invasive plants. Suzy reminded us that she is open right now on weekends only. If you would like help, give her a call for an appointment and she will be happy to assist you with your plants. This presentation took up the bulk of the meeting and members responded very favorably to the content and quality of the presentation.

Near the very end of the meeting, door prizes were given. There were 13 winners. They are:

Door prize winners:
