will be the sixth meeting of 2010.

The Pikes Peak Water Garden Society meetings are held every 2nd Thursday from April to September.  Most meetings start at 7:00 PM and wrap up around 9:00 to 9:30 PM.

This year our meetings will once again be held at the Mountain View Church of Christ located at 1080 East La Salle Street.  This is at the west end of Constitution Avenue on the southwest corner.

Enter through the east door on the north side of the church.

July’s Club Membership Meeting

September’s club meeting was opened by President Steve Carson at 7:35PM at Mt. View Church of Christ. There were 40 members that attended this month’s meeting.

Dick Throckmorton gave the financial report to members. He stated that a correction was made to last month’s statement because a heck was double posted. The club’s current cash was $5787.04. Financial statement is available for all members to review.

Robert Lammon advised members that the two fall workshops have slipped by a week. Sacrate Heart has been rescheduled to 18 Sep and Union Printers Home moved to 25 Sep. Members are encouraged to sign up for the two workshops. Also mentioned was a non-member is trying to find a home for the Koi he has. If members were interested in obtaining some of these Koi, they can provide me with their contact information. Members were also asked to provide feedback as what topics that would see at future meeting.

Steve opened the floor for members to nominate individuals that are interested in filling 3 PPWGS Board positions opening up at the end of this season. Ron Bissonnette and Dale Crocket were nominated and approved by members to fill the positions. One vacant position still needs to be filled. Members were asked to consider joining the board.

Ron did a presentation about winterizing a pond. Several members provided their own winterization of their ponds to include how they constructed a cover for the winter.

The meeting ended at 8:45 PM.
