Winterizing the pond

Sixth and final meeting for 2007. The topic is winterizing the pond and will cover plant, fish and pond care. There will also be a Q & A period for members to share their questions and experience regarding winter care of the pond.

The Pikes Peak Water Garden Society meetings are held every 2nd Thursday from April to September.  Most meetings start at 7:00 PM and wrap up around 9:00 to 9:30 PM.

This year our meetings will once again be held at the Mountain View Church of Christ located at 1080 East La Salle Street.  This is at the west end of Constitution Avenue on the southwest corner.

Enter through the east door on the north side of the church.

Pikes Peak Water Garden Society
General Club Meeting Minutes
September 13, 2007

Meeting called to order at about 7:40 PM by Ron Bissonntte , Vice- President, at the Holy Cross Church.

Next month meeting will be the picnic which will start at 6:30PM. Members were asked to bring a dessert to share. All other food items will be provided by the club. Sign-up sheet was located at the back table.

Mary Bucher provided current treasury report to the members. The club has a total balance of $8006.92. The treasurer has the financial books open for club members to review. She also updated the members on the status of recovering the money owed to the club for T-shirt order that was never filled. So far the club has recovered $500.

Fall workshops are coming up in September and October. Members were encouraged to sign up.

Fremont County Pond Club provided a flyer for folks that may be interested in joining their club.

Jerry Hunter and Dick Throckmorton were elected to fill in upcoming vacancies on the board.

The subject for this month’s meeting was winterization of ponds with an open question/answer forum.
