Annual Koi Auction Meeting

will be the date of our fourth meeting for 2005.

The Pikes Peak Water Garden Society meetings are held every 2nd Thursday from April to September.  Most meetings start at 7:00 PM and wrap up around 9:00 to 9:30 PM.

This year our meetings will once again be held at the Mountain View Church of Christ located at 1080 East La Salle Street.  This is at the west end of Constitution Avenue on the southwest corner.

Enter through the east door on the north side of the church.

General Meeting Minutes
July 14, 2005

Meeting called to order at 7:40 PM by Bob Pollock, President, at the Mountain View Church of Christ. 85 people were in attendance.

Dick presented the treasurers report, currently the club has $9,022.94 total club funds.

Steve then reported that there were 12 ponds signed up for the tour and there was still a need for volunteers to pass out maps.

Ron said that we have several memberships paid for 2007 and he appreciated members paying early for the next year.

Betty now has Koi food that is wheat germ based for spring and fall use at $5.00 per bag.

Bob then talked a little about John Mirgon. He was the founder of the Colorado Water Garden Society and a big influence to the PPWGS. He passed away last week.

Bob then started the Koi auction:
1) Butterfly Sanke (Orange and Black) 10-12 inches was sold to
2) Butterfly Kiogon (Yellow) 7-8 inches was sold to
3) Butterfly Chargoi (Dark Brown) 5-6 inches was sold to
4) Butterfly Asagi (Blue and White) 5-6 inches was sold to
5) Ginrin Sanki (White with Red and Black) 5-6 inches was sold to
6) Kohaku (White and Orange) 5-6 inches was sold to
7) Butterfly Kwarwimono (White and Yellow) 8-10 inches was sold to
8) Butterfly Sanke (White with Red and Black) 6-7 inches was sold to
9) Shiroutsuri (Black with White) 6-7 inches was sold to Lynn Goins for
10) Platnum Ogon (White) 3-4 inches was sold to
11) Tancho Kohaku (White with Red Spot on Head) 3-4 inches was sold to Steve and Rose Carson for $31.

Comment – Fort Collins is giving out small fish to control mosquitoes.
