First Club Meeting of 2017 (Waking Up Your Pond and Equipment Rehoming Auction)

First club meeting of 2017 We will be having a presentation about "Waking Up Your Pond" and then have an Equipment Rehoming Auction. So bring any usable pond related items you no longer need that you think a fellow ponder may need as a donation.
The
Pikes Peak Water Garden Society meetings are held every 2nd Thursday from April
to September. Most meetings start at 7:00 PM and wrap up around 9:00 to
9:30 PM.
This
year our meetings will once again be held at the Mountain View Church of Christ
located at 1080 East La Salle Street. This is at the west end of
Constitution Avenue on the southwest corner.

Pikes Peak Water Garden Society Club Meeting Minutes
April 13th 2017
Meeting called to order 7:00 pm Adjourned 9:30pm
PEOPLE IN ATTENDANCE: 16
Bob kicked off the meeting and went over the new rule about bringing a guest and getting two raffle tickets. Bob introduce the Board Members for 2017 as well as all of the coordinators for upcoming workshops.
TREASURERS REPORT: Shirley went over the treasurer’s report.

Bob went over all of the upcoming events for 2017 as well as the workday for
The Union Printers Home.
April 22nd – Union Printers liner repair 9:00 am.
Bob has spoken with Union Printers and they will supply sand and adhesive. They are ok with schedule.
April 29th- Union printers Workshop--9:00 am Repotting and cleaning
Complete pump down and cleaning. We need several pots but we have plenty of fertilizer tablets. Several lilies will be prepared to be moved on June 10th to the Humane Society along with some bog plants from the plant sale.
May 11th Club Meeting - Topic will be about evasive plants and hope to have Susie from the Water’s Edge speak on this topic.
June 3th will be the Plant sale.
June 8th Club Meeting-- Alumni Meeting – History of the Club by Dick Throckmorton
June 10th Humane society workday. Move some lilies from Union Printers Home.
July 13th Club Meeting--- Koi Auction
July 29th – 30th - Pond Tour
August 10th – Need a topic – Nominations.
September 14th – Club Meeting need topic, Elections of Officers.
October 12th – Club Meeting BBQ picnic.
