Humane Society Spring Workshop
Event Date | Sat, May 11, 2024 9:00 AM - Sat, May 11, 2024 12:00 PM |
Pikes Peak Water Garden Society Community Service Project
As a community service project, the Pikes Peak Water Garden Society has volunteered to help the Pikes Peak Humane Society maintain their pond. This pond and the surrounding gardens were installed so the Humane Society and the El Paso County Division of Animal Law Enforcement have a secure place to walk their dogs.
The pond is about 35’ by 50’ and 4’ deep in the center. It has 3 skimmer boxes which supply a waterfall, a fountain, and a 20’ round bog filter. A center fountain provides aeration along with a splashing sound to help drown out the noise from the nearby highway.
This workshop will be held in the morning from 9:00 AM until the work is finished and all questions are answered around noon.
If you are a member, you can sign-up for this workshop by clicking the Sign Up for Event button below.
